Privacy policy
This is the privacy policy that applies to Jaotin today. It describes how the service actually works right now, not a sample text. If we change how we handle data we will edit this page and change the date above.
What we collect
The phone number you register and verify by OTP, the name and email or LINE ID you type in yourself, the listings and photos you upload, the messages you send through chat, your saved favourites, and a record of your credit balance and history. If you add a property pin, we store that property location. When you choose Nearby, the app sends the device’s current location to Jaotin to find nearby properties. If you opt in to notifications, Jaotin stores the FCM registration token linked to your account. Firebase Messaging and Apple Push Notification service process the APNs token, installation identifier and device data needed to deliver notifications. On Android, the Google Maps SDK also processes request and device metadata, IP address, a Maps-specific identifier, crash data, and may process map pan and zoom interactions. When your account reveals a listing's phone or LINE details, we also record that account-and-listing entitlement, the first-reveal time, Cloudflare country/region codes, and an approximate province normalized from that regional data. We do not store the IP, an IP hash, coordinates, or other detailed Cloudflare metadata for this feature.
Why we collect it
To confirm a publisher is a real person, to show your listing to people searching, to find properties near a location you choose to use, to display maps, to deliver notifications you enable, to pass enquiries between buyer and seller, to maintain credit history, and to let an account revisit current contact details without counting the same buyer as a new lead again. Approximate province is used for aggregate interest analysis.
Who we share it with
Your contact details reach a publisher only when you contact them first, or when you tick the consent box on the Looking form. Publishers may receive aggregate lead statistics, but not a revealer's identity, an exact reveal time, raw Cloudflare metadata, or individual reveal rows. We do not sell user lists to third parties.
Your rights (PDPA)
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time · from the link in any email you receive from us, or through our contact page. We act on such requests within 30 days.
How long we keep it
Accounts and listings are kept while the account is in use. A first-contact-reveal record is kept only while both the viewing account and that listing exist, and is removed when either is deleted. When you delete an account, Jaotin also deletes its internal credit history, top-up requests, tax profile and credit wallet. Uploaded images and documents enter a reference-aware deletion queue; a copy still used by other content, a cached copy, or a copy downloaded by someone else may not disappear immediately. Payment records, customer details or invoices already created with a payment provider may remain there and are not deleted automatically when you delete your Jaotin account.
